The basics

What is a Korean lash lift?

It is a lash lift where your lashes are laid on several small rods in small groups, instead of on one silicone shield. The lashes are still lifted from the root and tinted. The result is a more defined, separated, slightly fluffier curl.

Is it a Korean product or a Korean technique?

A technique. The name comes from the way lashes are placed, popularised in Korea. The steps of a lift, lifting lotion, setting lotion, tint and care, stay the same.

Is it the same as a lash perm?

No. An old-style lash perm wraps the lashes around a curler and mostly curls the tips. A lift raises the lash from the root. The Korean lift is a lift: it lifts from the root, then shapes the curl group by group.

What is the difference with a classic lash lift?

A classic lift gives a smooth, even upward line. The Korean version gives more separation and a more visible curl. We compare both, lash type by lash type, in our guide Korean or classic lash lift.

Does it work on straight or downward lashes?

Very often, yes. Straight lashes that point down are where a lift makes the biggest difference, because the curl suddenly shows the length you already have. We check at the consultation that your lashes are long enough to sit on the rods.

The appointment

How long does it take?

The same 75 minutes as a classic lash lift. The Korean option is chosen as an extra on the lash lift and does not lengthen the slot.

Does it hurt?

No. You lie down with your eyes closed for most of the session. Some people feel their eyes water a little, mostly from keeping them closed for a long time.

Can I keep my contact lenses in?

No. Take them out before the treatment and bring your case. Wear glasses to get home if you need them.

How should I come to the appointment?

With clean lashes: no mascara, no oily make-up remover that morning, and no curler. Our preparation guide covers the 48 hours before.

Is the tint included?

Yes. The lash lift includes the tint of the upper and lower lashes and vitamin serums. Tinted lashes look longer and fuller, and you can skip mascara on most days.

Can I combine it with brow lamination?

Yes. The Korean option can be added to the lash lift combinations, including the lash lift with brow lamination, for the same CHF 10.

The result

How long does a Korean lash lift last?

About 6 to 8 weeks. Lashes grow and fall out on their own cycle, so the curl softens gradually as new lashes come in.

When does it look best?

From the second day. During the first 24 hours the curl can look a bit strong and the lashes a bit stiff. After that, they relax into their final shape.

Will my lashes look fake?

No. These are your own lashes, with no added length. The Korean curl is more visible than a classic one, but it is still natural.

Can I wear mascara afterwards?

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Choose a mascara you remove easily, without oily remover, so you do not rub the curl.

Do I still need an eyelash curler?

No, and it is better not to use one. A curler on lifted lashes can crease or break them.

What if I do not like the result?

Tell us. We look at it together. If lashes ever come out over-curled or frizzy, our Lash Lift Rescue relaxes and nourishes them.

Your situation

It is my first lash lift. Should I choose the Korean option?

If you like a visible curl and well-separated lashes, yes. If you prefer a very soft, discreet result, the classic lift may suit you better for a first time. Either way, we look at your lashes before starting and tell you what we would choose.

I have a wedding or an event. When should I book?

A few days to a week before. The curl is at its best from the second day, and you have time to see how your lashes and eyes react. Avoid booking the day before.

I had lash extensions. Can I have a Korean lash lift?

Yes, once the extensions are fully removed and your natural lashes are in good condition. If they are thin or broken after extensions, we will tell you honestly whether to wait a little.

I wear glasses. Will my lashes touch the lenses?

Most people notice nothing. If your lashes are very long and your glasses sit close to your eyes, tell us: we can adapt how high the curl goes.

Is it also for men?

Yes. The treatment works the same on any lashes. Many men ask for the classic version for a more discreet result; we will show you both.

I am pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I have it done?

Tell us when you book. Many clients prefer to ask their doctor first, and we will talk it through with you. If your eyes or skin feel more sensitive than usual, we can plan a patch test.

Safety and care

Is it safe for sensitive eyes?

Most people with sensitive eyes have no problem, but tell us when you book. We can plan a patch test first. Our article on lash lift side effects and allergic reactions lists the signs to watch.

What should I avoid after the treatment?

For 24 hours: water, steam, sauna, hammam, pool and mascara. After that, avoid rubbing your eyes and oily products right at the lash line. Brush your lashes gently each morning.

Price and booking

How much does a Korean lash lift cost in Geneva?

CHF 85 in total: CHF 75 for the lash lift and CHF 10 for the Korean option. All our prices are on the price list.

How do I book the Korean option?

The Korean lash lift is an option you tick under the lash lift when you book online. The link below opens the lash lift with the option already ticked. If you are unsure whether your lashes suit it, keep it ticked: we decide together at the consultation.

How often can I have it done?

When the previous curl has mostly grown out, so roughly every 6 to 8 weeks. Lifting more often weakens the lashes. More about the classic version on our lash lift page.
